First Presbyterian Church of Maitland’s Service Committee actively supports faith-based charities at home & abroad with our time, talents & resources. We emphasize six key areas: Basic Human Need, Children & Youth, Compassion, Evangelism, Hunger Programs, & Missions. Good deeds express our faith & obedience to God. Find a home for your helping hands here!
We also support the Haiti Child Sponsorship Program. As part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we help to sustain a number of nationwide and worldwide missions. For more information, click here.
We meet the first Tuesday of each month at FPCM All Committee Night in the Fellowship Hall at 7 pm. Then, we meet in the parlor for guest presentations & charity reports until 8:30 PM.
FPCM gives 10% of its revenues to the Service Committee. We oversee allocation & distribution of funds to our benevolences. Our members volunteer with charities & missions, so that we know first hand how effectively our dollars are used. Our members also arrange for their charity to annually report on use of funds, as well as key successes & challenges. We greatly appreciate your donations, tithes & prayers. Thank you for your generous support!
We welcome your helping hands! Learn more about putting your faith into action at FPCM, contact Deanna Ortner at 407-629-8506 or dlortner@earthlink.net.
